I'm kicking my own butt!

via.

That's right ladies, I am officially involved in bridal bootcamp! For the past 3 weeks I have been keeping a close watch on my own willpower and I am winning the battle! My regimen consists of eating 5 small meals a day. I keep processed carbs low and focus on fruits, veggies, protein and dairy (like non-fat yogurt and granola). I don't cut myself off from sweets entirely, but with each sweet I do take.... I savor it. I used to grab up 5 cookies and devour them before my butt even hit the couch! Now I savor a cookie and set it down between each bite as I sit at the computer, I nibble on a dark chocolate square and let the sensation wrap around me. It's wonderful! Spencer and I have also enjoyed making healthier dinners! Finding ways to cook that cut a few calories and save the taste. Avocado has become a staple for a lot of things (I'm allergic to banana so it's a good source of potassium for me) and we try to not eat late at night.
In addition my workout regimen includes hitting the gym a good 4 times a week for 30 minutes of intense cardio on the elliptical doing 2 minute intervals of high and low intensity. 6 days a week I go home and do 10 minutes straight of ab work followed by 20 minutes of strength/weight training in my arms and legs. Typically I watch tv while doing this and it makes it just feel like at home relaxing. My only problem is the girls who always want to play while i'm doing this and think it's a game to try to lick my face each time my head hits the ground during a sit-up!
I weighed myself a week ago and was down 3-4 lbs! I will most likely weigh again this weekend and i'm excited to see the change!
Changes i've noticed
*Higher Energy.
*My pants are getting a little looser.
*My face is thinning
*My appetite has shrunk
*My skin is clearing up

I can't wait to see what the next few months hold! Dress shopping is in 2 months!!!

Go girl! I am so proud fo you for doing this! I trained with a personal trainer about 2 months before my wedding and I am so happy that I did. I dropped about 20 pounds and had to have my dress taken in. I look at my pictures and smile b/c I was so happy with myself at that point. That's what you want. And you are well on your way sista!
Have a great weekend!

Wow! good for you! I've been trying to get to the gym but it's been so hard lately. I think I need to join a fitness group so it's more like a class I have to go to. Congrats on all the healthy changes! You're so inspiring!

You have a great regimen going on, make sure you take a break and drink lotsa water, that will also help with making your tummy fill full.
