Furry Walls, Wedding details and a flood!

These past few days have been wonderful!
Spencer and I had a date night over the weekend with his sister and bro-in-law
we saw "Get Him to the Greek" and it was FABULOUS!
Seriously, EVERYONE needs to see this movie!
Also, I think Russell Brand needs to delve into music,
because the hottie can sing!
EVERYONE "Stroke the Furry Wall!"

On Sunday I drove out to a park about 30 minutes away and photographed some family photos.
I had never been to the park before, and I think it's definitly now on my list of favorite photo places.
There were wooded areas, a little waterfall, old buildings and an old bridge next to a watermill!
I can't wait to start editing all the photos...
but right now i'm still editing the wedding I photographed a few weeks ago...
photos will be coming soon!

On Monday Spencer had the day off
I was supposed to go see Sex in the City 2
but it got postponed for this upcoming Sunday
So we spent the day in bed watching episodes of Arrested Development on Netflix
and then...
as luck would have it, my good friend Megan ended up having her baby!!!
So Spencer and I went to the hospital to visit the adorable Ms. Jolee Sophia!
She's got a full head of black hair and is just darling!
Can't wait to see her again!

The weekend was just fabulous!
Every moment was wonderful...until yesterday night...
Kansas City got hit by flooding!! We had some intense rain.
Spencer was downstairs working on his scooter and he called to me to come downstairs
A wall of water had rushed in under our garage door
and we had 2-3 inches covering the floor!
Luckily, we didn't have anything down that could get damaged.
The city sewer system has backed up and so nothing was draining!
We had about an hour full of worry, before the waters finally receded...
today is a fun day of trying to dry it all out...
thank goodness for concrete floors!

Wedding planning is at a bit of a standstill at the moment
As soon as I finish photo editing I will be designing our invitations
I just need to get over to scan something in to make the designing a little bit easier. :)
I've also decided this morning that I might have to sew some custom pillows!
We have two little lounge areas at our venue
and I think it will be the perfect way to bring in another little touch. :)

My dress should be in at the end of this month.
It's set to ship on June 28th
and I can not wait!
Until then I am focusing on hitting the gym and swimming
today will be my 5th day of swimming
and it's starting to get easier to do the 60 laps i've committed myself to. :)
I am still trying to choose about my wedding hairpiece though
and I think i'm looking again at a headband instead of a comb
I realized that I have always really loved the look of the headband
sooooo there are 3 I am really loving.....

1.
This one I would request a thinner band and have it matched to the shade of my dress.

2.

3.

My Wedding Accessory

Love the baby girls name. So unique. She's super cute too. :) Sorry about the water. We had some too. We normally do when it does that crazy sideways rain we had yesterday. LOL!!! I want to see the movie this weekend so hopefully I can convince Brian to go. :) XOXO
