Adventures in Crafting!

WOW! I know I say it a lot these days but I can't believe how busy i've been lately!!!
I guess that happens when you have a wedding in exactly 2 months and 5 days!
EEK! Can you believe it!!!!

Lots of exciting things have been going on this past week, and each thing brings me a little feeling of I can't Believe it's happening!!! We officially yesterday afternoon got all of our wedding invitations in the mail! It took me a week to get all of this done but I could not be happier with the results!!!!! This is what has been keeping me busy....
Thursday-- I headed out to Hobby Lobby where I purchased vellum, vases and other wedding related accoutrement! I came home to a beautiful little delivery at my doorstep! My stamp from the lovely Karissa of Kiss and Tell Cards had arrived!!!! It was absolutely perfect! If you don't remember it...it looks like this, except with our return address...

PS-keep an eye out over the next few days for a lovely giveaway I will be hosting to get your very own stamp!
After Spencer got home we decided to go out to dinner for some sushi, and ended our night at, The Paper Source, with the intent of buying some new envelopes for our invitations. I just wasn't in love with what came from Vistaprint and wanted a brightly colored envelope.... when we arrived though we quickly deduced that new envelopes would cost $70+! So we began looking for alternatives! What was found was so perfect I almost squealed out in delight! We ended up purchasing two beautiful stamps (1 big, 1 small) a magenta ink pad for our return address stamps, a heat gun and silver metallic embossing powder to stamp beautiful designs on the edge of our envelopes! We left with our purchases and visions of craft products danced through my head!
This is the larger of the stamps on the edge of our envelopes!
Friday-- Or as I like to refer to it...the day of addressing envelopes! I started out my day with some exercise, errand running and grocery shopping and the bridesmaid dresses arrived from Pearls Place!!!  They were a little wrinkled, and the box was quite beat-up, but the dresses themselves had no damage and looked great!!! Not bad for saving almost $500 total!

The girls will be wearing these with black heels and can hem them to whatever length they feel looks best on them!
At around 3p.m.  began the long process of hand addressing the To: address on our invitations and the return on the coordinating RSVP cards. ( Remember I have my beautiful return address stamp for our address) but it still meant I had a total of 200 envelopes to write on! I wrote...and wrote...and wrote... at 1a.m. I finally finished! Yes, I was being a little anal, but you can't rush good script-y handwriting! This is an example of how they all looked!

Not too shabby for handwriting, eh?
Saturday-- Two of my bridesmaid came over to help me get everything finished up. We had some chinese food for dinner, and stamped/embossed our hearts out. It was a blast and after a few hours of hard work we ended the night with laughs, good talks and a few glasses of wine. Sadly, our heat gun died about halfway through the day so we had to stamp them and lie them aside with the powder sitting on them until Sunday when I could go buy a new gun and finish them up!
Sunday-- I exchanged the heat gun and spent the rest of the evening finishing up random addresses we were still trying to track down, and embossing each envelope that was laid neatly out on the table.
Monday-- Still not done! Each envelope was dusted clean of loose powder and Spencer helped me to stuff each one and seal it shut! Nerve-wrecking let me tell ya! I was so terrified we would forget something!!!! We got a few more addresses and set them out to dry on the kitchen table so they could be stuffed and mailed first thing in the morning.
Tuesday-- Post office day!!!! We sent them out and they should be arriving at our friends and families homes within the next few days!!!! Now we just need to sit back, relax and enjoy as our little R.S.V.P. envelopes slowly make their way back home!!!!!
 I ADORE them!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week and I can't wait to catch up on what's been going on
in all of your lives as mine has quickly become wedding consumed!!!!
