Resolution Time

So in my intense amount of disregard to this little blog I have missed out on posting the official New Years Resolution list! I'm never that big on resolutions. I mean, i'm pretty happy with myself so there aren't very many life-changing things for me to resolve I will do...well other than putting the candy bar down and slowly stepping away from the cookie jar....but who doesn't have that problem!? So here I go... the things i'm going to focus on for the next year....

1. Kick my own butt! Seriously, me and the gym may just become the annoying sisters that want to slap one another because we are going to be so close this year! I plan to go to the gym every day that I don't have a good excuse not to. And by good excuse I don't mean "I have to pee, and I don't want to go here." I mean something like i'm sick as a pup (like today) I have to go to class early or I have an appointment with a vendor, classmate, hair stylist, doctor or friend. No more going straight home to lie on the couch and contemplate having tacos or grilled cheese for dinner while catching a re-run of the Simpsons! My butt is no longer going to eat my shorts, man.

2. I am going to take 2 classes this semester and one in the summer. My reward will be an entire semester off in the fall! I can use the extra time to go to the gym, get a little bit of color on my skin, plan our honeymoon, take dance lessons and spend time with my future mister! Now, I hope this doesn't make me go absolutely crazy. I get a little on edge with taking 1 class, and I really hope I survive two at once! I will be in class every weds/thurs until May.... but like the little engine that could... "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..."

3. To finally get my office in order. I need to build my desk, purchase and hang my "inspirational" photographs and artwork ...or rather, things that just make me smile. I want to get a little chair for the corner to use as my book nook and make it a place that I can de-stress and learn in. :)

4. Read. I have so many books sitting on the bedside table right now... completely ready for my reading pleasure. These include: The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, The Lightening Thief, The Time Travelers Wife, Angels & Demons and I would like to read Harry Potter again before the final movie. I really do love reading, I just need to sink my claws into it again!

5. Make a Registry!!!!! I keep having visions of Spencer running through Crate and Barrel with the scanning gun and pointing at everything from towels to coffee tables while making a little Peter Griffin style "hehehe" . Its like when there are a pair of scissors in your hand and a fresh piece of construction paper...you just can't help but want to cut it!! I think we're going to have to put on our big kid pants that day and make responsible decisions....although, I think there might still be a little "hehehe" every time he gets to hit the button. :)

6. Get Married. whew...thats a big one!

So there you have it! My list for the coming year!!! Stay tuned for a new blog header :)

great goals! registering is so fun! if you go to crate and barrel, don't register for the white "rustic" plates...i'm pretty sure that's what they're called. they may not even be your style, but we got them and they suck. they chip, and get little cracks below the glazed surface. so annoying for something we spent so much money on! ok...done with my rant.

glad you'll get a whole term off. that will be so great! hope you kick butt this term so you can just kick back and relax....well... and wedding plan... minor details :).

hope you have a great day!

You are ONE EXCITED GIRL....I am LOVING reading these last two posts!!!! Wedding planning is SO exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are really getting a lot done already, I am very impressed!!!

Love your goals for 2010 :)

What about your wedding dress - do you have a clear vision of what it will look like or not at all? You know how some people have just always known what they wanted? I didn't - then I saw it in a magazine and that was it!! Obviously we don't need you to tell us all your secrets, just wondering?!

:)

PS The wedding cakes sound A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

I really want to read The Time Traveler's Wife! Even though the movie didn't do that well, apparently. And I love Rachel McAdams, too. Good luck with your resolutions!

I read the Time Traveler's Wife and LOVED IT! Slightly confusing (at least for me), in the beginning, but it's great. And I enjoyed the movie, too! :)
