Ok guys i'm officially jumping on the bandwagon with weigh-in Wednesday. You all know I have been working out very hard for the last few weeks and I think its time I start reporting to keep myself accountable!
Each week I will tell you lbs lost and how I feel I did with going to the gym and my feelings on the progress i'm making. I think by having a place for motivation and a place to pat myself on the back it will help me in my path to getting fit!
Working Out: For the past month I have been to the gym for 1-2 hours 5 days a week. It seems like i've been taking fridays and saturdays off due to busy schedules, but I think it helps me get some relaxation and time to myself to reflect and regroup for the upcoming week. I haven't found it a huge struggle to get to the gym and all I seem to have to do is throw on my gym clothes and I am ready to go!
Weight Loss: Since my engagement in December I have lost a total of 8 lbs. In addition I did my measurements this morning...and get this... I have lost almost 8 inches from my thighs!! I'm talking 1 thigh ladies! I have always carried weight in my legs, and lately I have noticed my jeans feeling loose in the legs and butt but I had NO idea I had lost that much! I feel amazing and my legs feel strong. I know eventually that weight loss will work its way up to my tummy :) I have also lost about 3" from my neck and I no longer show any sign of a double chin. (let me tell you, I was getting close to having one and I did not like that so much)
Eating Healthy: Spencer and I cook healthy meals at home a lot and try to cut down on the fat by making sure everything is drained and there is no excess grease or fat in our food. That being said...I have ben craving cheeseburgers like crazy lately!!! Cheeseburgers from Red Robin, and french fries from McDonalds....Good thing I can't get them both in the same place! I did splurge and drank quite a few 7ups this week, and had a few Cadbury eggs, but overall I think I have done very well with choosing healthy items and eating in moderation.
So that's my progress so far! Next week things will be a little more streamlined as I only have this upcoming week to look at. I'm hoping for at least 1 lb lost and am starting to focus on my upper arms and my stomach at the gym.
