Busy little worker elf! ...Look what we did!

My sister-in-law told me yesterday I missed my calling in life...
Professional Christmas decorator! haha
I just REALLY love Christmas.
The glitter, the sparkle, the festivity and the fun!
It's the only time in life where you can put ridiculously cute things in your house all over the place, and people don't think you have completely lost your mind! Cute little snowman statue, sparkle disco balls...nothing is too much at Christmas! My sister and brother-in-law live in an old church that they are renovating, so when it came to decorating her place for the Holidays I jumped in to help! She is hosting the big family christmas this year on the 18th, so needless to say, our deadline is fast approaching. Over the past week i've been over there a few times helping to decorate, paint and make everything merry and bright! My favorite project however, would have to be making the christmas trees! That's right...MAKING. With ridiculously tall vaulted church ceilings she needed a BIG tree...but with tight pockets it was becoming stressful to think of buying a pretty evergreen big enough to fit the space! So, being the ingenious lady she is, she started researching an alternative....and the result was not just 1, but 2 10 foot tall trees! Check out these photos of our handiwork below!

To read more about the process, check our her post on Apartment Therapy (She's Sarah Rae). We have also created festive window decor, hung snowflakes and mudded, sanded, primed and painted her bathroom...which is now BRIGHT school-bus YELLOW!!! (And my hands are yellow to match today!) Sigh...I just adore the holidays! :)
Hope your weekend has been merry and bright!

Wow, very impressive. The trees look so modern, but still so festive! How on earth did you even come up with this idea?
