Geek Chic. It's not all about the fashion.

I did not watch the Golden Globes last night. I get bored with awards shows, and I know that it will be easy enough to catch the re-caps after the show. Anything worth repeating will instantly be on twitter, facebook and youtube within minutes anyways! I did however check the E! application on my new G4 last night... I saw some dresses (nothing too jaw-dropping). I suppose my take on good fashion is different than most, because what some people are calling stunning, I find hideous!

Number one culprit, January Jones.

 Sure she has a gorgeous figure, and the color looks stunning on her with her flaxen locks and scarlet lips...but hello!? Bondage much? Put this dress in black, give her a whip and she is every creepy comic book lovers fantasy woman. And since I already took it there...I think her boobs look AWFUL. They are strapped in with nowhere to go. Many may disagree, but I give a big thumbs down on this look.

But I won't say anything more on the fashion, because anything worth saying has already been said. What drew my attention more was the list of quotes from throughout the night. I have to say my favorite quote of all, and the one going on my Facebook page, was from Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory...

I just simply adore everything about this, and I love it. My husband is a geek, and I love him for it. He is fascinated by art, mobile communications, music and music mastering... He has a passion, and a drive to always learn more or have that interesting off-the-wall fact. We challenge one another to use large vocabulary. We are Geeks...but its those things that also make us more interesting people, and the people that each of us love.

Now I really want to represent and go buy this....

Totally red carpet worthy, right?

Today I am working from home as my first day at my new job. Cup of coffee, cuddling puppies and my laptop ready to receive emails. Pretty fantastic first day! Sadly, hubby is leaving soon to head to work and I will miss him very much. Good thing I have a fantastic line-up to keep me company tonight!
