The Gift of Love

Hey Y'all!
Lacey, from Lacey in Love here! I'm so excited to be here at She's Getting Married today!
Jenni, is totally a married lady now & is off being fabulous on her honeymoon.
I'm so excited for Jenni & Spencer and can't wait for her to get home and post tons of pics for me to drool over :)
Being that we just celebrated our little lady getting married,
I thought I would talk a little about weddings today. Duh, right?
Although (for a girl who isn't married) I know a sick amount about planning weddings,
I wanted to talk to y'all about something I consider myself a pro at...
Wedding gift giving.
While it's all good and lovely to buy the couple something off of their registry,
I can't help but want to be a little more personal when choosing a gift.
After all, in ten years when that couple is cooking spaghetti, they're not going to look at the pot it's boiling in and say "Lacey got us these for our wedding!" Nuh ugh. Odds are, after the thank you notes go out, they've forgotten who got them what.
UNLESS, that is, they received something adorable and personal.
They'll remember who got them that, right? Absolutely!
Here are just a few of my favorite wedding gift options!

[all from my very favorite place ever... ETSY! Click the picture to visit the shop the item came from!]

Gifts that are handy or artsy:

Wooden handled address stamp
(how much will they love you when it comes time to write those thank you notes & they can just stamp the back with their address instead of writing it out over and over and over... and over?)

Personalized embroidery art with their names & wedding date
(So stinkin sweet!)

Personalized digital art
(modern & funky... I think it's perfect kitchen art)

Gifts that keep on giving:
Family name plaque
(Odds are they'll have it forever & ever and likely pass it on to their kids)

Hand stamped necklace with their initials & wedding date
(she can wear it forever & pass it on to her daughter. Or how sweet would it be tied on to their daughters bouquet or pinned to their sons boutonniere on their wedding days? I die of sweetness, I tell you!)

There you have it! A few awesome, memorable gifts to consider the next time you're attending a wedding or shower!

Thanks to the lovely MRS. Jenni for having me today!
Congrats again, honey! Love ya!
