Who dealt it?

This has been a VERY long day...

Last night I spent the evening with my family and had a few glasses of wine. Not enough to be hungover, but enough to make me chatty... This morning at 3a.m. I woke-up with the worst upset stomach I have ever experienced in my life! I felt absolutely terrible.... I went to the bathroom and I was sicker than I have ever been before... I laid on the couch for awhile, took some tylenol  fell asleep. At 8am I got back up and went into the bedroom with my husband. I tossed and turned for hours, burning up and unable to get comfortable. All I could think was I must have mixed the wrong combination of drinks or maybe I didn't realize how tipsy I really was.. At 10am I rolled myself out of bed. I have to drive 4 hours to St. Louis tomorrow morning and I needed to get an oil change. I put on some pants, brushed my teeth and left with my Kindle. I noticed that as the minutes went by I started feeling better.... I'm sitting in the office at Jiffy Lube and Spencer texts me. He found a gas leak in our basement from an old lawnmower, and it had been slowly leaking through our house all night. He admitted that he was feeling pretty awful himself and thought that might be it... Yes, people...we got gas poisoning last night....

I have never felt worse than I did this morning. A headache that wouldn't go away, an upset stomach I simply could not soothe... After a few hours we were both feeling a bit better. My step-dad, mom and grandma came over to help us assess some electrical problems we have been having and we all went ahead and went out to lunch. I was exhausted after lunch but came back home to emails from my boss with paperwork that simply HAD to be done... no nap for me....
Tonight we had a friends birthday party. Dinner at Old Chicago (mmmmm calzone) bonus: I got mine free because the waitress kept forgetting about me! First my drink didn't come...then it came in a Styrofoam cup (they ran out of plastic) and I have a great FEAR of Styrofoam! The 25 other people in the party all get plastic.. not me... I had to face the Styrofoam...then food comes and yet again my order was missed! Sigh.... oh well, can't complain about free food... and my friend did give me some "tasty" parsley to tide me over. haha.
Now we are at the go-kart track where Spencer is racing with all of his buds. Not really my thing, so im doing some paperwork and decided it was time to Blog! WHen we finally get home I will be devouring the restof my calzone, packing up and passing out. At 5am the first face I will be seeing is that of my favorite barista at Starbucks with a great big venti mocha latte! (and maybe an extra shot or 2 of espresso!)
hmmmmm and maybe a cinnamon roll while i'm at it.....
Hope everyone has a lovely Presidents Day!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta love Herbert Hoover!

Ohmy...gas poisoning is bad. :( Sorry girl. Glad you figured it out though.

Hope your Monday's a lot better girl than all of the combined styrofoam-no dinner-go kart watching day...and yes, a venti mocha latte and maybe a yummy cinnamon roll always work magic.
